Quick Sincronizadas Recipe
A sincronizada is a Mexican dish that you can eat as a late night snack or even for breakfast. It’s an quick and easy recipe that rescues you when you are hungry.
Unlike a quesadilla, a sincronizada usually includes ham or turkey and it’s not folded in half. The cheese and ham are sandwiched between two flour tortillas.
Ingredients:
1 red onion
1 tomato
1 avocado
3-5 limes
Oaxaca cheese
Deli turkey
Flour tortillas
Salt to taste
Steps:
First, we’ll make the toppings for your sincronizada: guacamole and red onions.
Cut half of your onion in slices and set the other half aside.
Place cut onions in a bowl and squeeze 3-5 limes
Add salt to taste and set the bowl aside.
For your guacamole, slice your avocado in half and remove the pit, place in a bowl.
Mash your avocado with a fork
Cut your tomato in small squares and add it to the mashed avocado.
Dice the other half of your red onion and add it to the avocado and tomatoes.
Add salt to taste and set aside.
For the sincronizadas, start by cutting the Oaxaca cheese in small slices
Heat a skillet over medium heat to warm your tortilla.
Add the cheese and deli turkey. Let it sit for a minute on the skillet.
Place another tortilla on top and flip it to warm both sides or until cheese melts and tortilla browns.
Place your sincronizada on a plate and cut in four pieces.
Add your guacamole and red onion slices. Or any other toppings you would like.
